APRIL 2009

Weather was excellent all month, warm and not a sign of rain.... meant BBQ's, Beach riding, Night treks, plenty of Vaulting, School programme, plenty of grass...everyone happy, a great month.

 Nina Hamsen returned to our shores from Germany and had plenty to keep her occupied. Nina is a Equine Osteopath and each year comes to our club for a month and undertakes treatment programmes for horses, teaches those who wish to find out more about Equine Osteopathy and in addition (having been one of Germany's top Vaulters) coaches vaulters and trains vaulting coaches.  Nina has built up a solid client base having visited for a number of years and is looking forward to returning again next year.    

 Nina's Dad Karl also visited with Nina this year and spent his time learning the art of "Dung" picking up...very skillful he was...and undertook various other tasks about the centre. Carl also took the opportunity to have a fairly extensive look at what NZ has to offer as a Tourist destination.  Plus partaking of some of NZ's finest local ale "Tuatara"

HOLIDAY FARM CLUB: 

Ruth ran another succesful Holiday Farm club programme and had a great time with a variety of age groups and with a number of willing parent helpers plus excellent weather the kids had a ball!

  JUNIOR VAULTERS

 An increasing number of junior vaulters are joining the club and we currently have a waiting list as we simply do not have sufficient coaches to keep up with demand hopefully this will be rectified in the not to distant future.  The skill level of some of these young vaulters is quite incredible and we look forward to the time when they can put on their own displays.
