Well October has come and gone so before December rolls around we'd better get up-to-date with what's happened!
Whilst the highlight during October had to be the club's Halloween Circus, things at the club still kept on keeping on, Ruth ran a school holiday programme and Catarina ran all the normal club training programmes and other activities that make up the everyday events at the club. At the same time a great team of volunteers, parents and very experienced trainers were preparing animals, training our vaulters and planning the logistical things that made the show work and through it all the kids worked really hard to gain the skills they displayed in the show.
As mentioned Ruth ran a school holiday programme at the begining of October which was really well attended and interest is growing rapidly as parents realise what is on offer. The difference this time was that Ruth ran the first week as a normal holiday programme but the second week was devoted to specialised classes for those children wishing to learn skills such as Balance, Addagio, Tumbling,Trapeze, Silks (or Tissues), Rings and Chinese Pole. The tutors, Virginia and Rodrigo our resident Argentinian friends who are, as we highlighted in the September photo gallery, professional trainers and performers in these skills.
The club continues to run the programmes for riding for therapy and enjoys the company of the Larche group every Tuesday and on Friday's the local Kapiti College team of therapy riders joins us. This Friday just past (6th) the college members invited their teachers and parents along to see first hand what goes on. Most walked from the college along the river trail to the centre and enjoyed the beautiful weather and also enjoyed a picnic lunch at the club followed by a display of the skills the students have learnt (see photos below)

Halloween Circus:
It''s really impossible to thank, as we would wish to do, all those that helped make the "Circus" a success. So to everyone that helped in any way at all, we thank you very very sincerely, you were all fantastic!
Again the simplest way to try and illustrate just how much went into the "Halloween Circus" is to show some photos of the process's as the club led up to the show itself and then the show.:
