Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Centre

 WELL here I go again!!!

SORRY, SORRY, APOLOGIES,.......I simply don't know where the time has gone, it's February and no December or January photo pages!!!

I'll try and make it up to everyone and include as many pics as I have on hand, thanks to those of you who submitted the pics whilst I was away in Aus....ah! ha! so that's why no December and January photo pages swanning away on the Gold Coast eh!!

As usual December and January have been huge months for the club and especially for Catarina, Ruth and "HELLO" again to Nora (back for another trip from Germany!!) great to have Nora back on board.

The club ran a combined competition which included dressage, jumping and barrel racing in December (see pics below) and also our usual Xmas show for all club members including our Larche group members. Again parents, friends and members had a great day.

We had friends from Sweden visit over Xmas (more of them yes!!!)  and Kristina tried her hand at vaulting and then mastered the art...or sort of..............................the end without the tail is the front!

Bill Noble ran more dressage clinics (these are now proving to be a real hit with riders in our district).

In December a number of our overseas club members returned to their homeland. Julian and Julia riders from Germany who had been attending college in the Kapiti area and who spent a lot of time at the club having lessons and helping Catarina headed off just prior to Xmas as did Julia also from Germany. Julia was a vaulter in our "Swans"  team and played an important part in our Halloween Show and other events, we will miss their involvement and wish them all the best for their futures in Germany and hope we will see them back here in NZ sometime in the future.

The club combined competition was fun and we hope to run more as and when time allows.

Robyn on Razz, Brooke on Scooter, Anna on Elvis and Robyn on Razz again.

Then there was of course the end of year hilight the "Xmas Show"!

Then it was time to for some of the kids to relax after the show and Catarina, Ruth & Lyn joined Ninni and Kristina (with
the dogs of course) for a well deserved coffee!  Razz just had to have the last say and showed us how to bow out for Xmas!

Well that's it for December I only hope club members have taken heaps of pics for Ruth's farm club over the Xmas holiday period and more of Bill Nobles training programmes, so I've got something to put in the February / March album.

Horse of The Year isn't to far away now so everyone is training hard, should be another good show this year and of course the really big one is Kentucky in September and believe me time will really fly for that one, so all out training and commitment is required.

I know this is pretty late but I'll say it anyway......Have a really great 2010 I hope everything works out in the way you all hope and that we can all look back at the end of 2010 and say wasn't that a GREAT year!!!
